Bharat Ecolabs Launches “TechHarvest”
A Global Program to Translate CleanTech Research from Lab to Life
New Delhi, India — 30th Oct 2025.
Bharat Ecolabs, a research-led cleantech innovation startup headquartered in Delhi–Mumbai, today announced the launch of TechHarvest, a first-of-its-kind initiative to identify, co-develop, and commercialize cutting-edge environmental technologies emerging from India’s universities and research institutions.
TechHarvest aims to bridge the critical gap between academic research and real-world deployment by partnering with scientists, professors, and research scholars working on solutions in wastewater treatment, waste to energy, carbon capture, bio-based materials, and cleantech technologies. Through a collaborative commercialization model, Bharat Ecolabs will provide industry mentoring, pilot development support, and market integration pathways for selected technologies.
“India’s labs are full of breakthrough innovations, but most never reach the people who need them,” said Ajinkya Pandey, Director of Bharat Ecolabs. “TechHarvest is our effort to change that — to make Bharat Ecolabs the national translation partner for clean technologies developed across Indian institutes. Our mission is simple: take research from Lab to Life.”
As part of the launch, Bharat Ecolabs will invite researchers and institutions to submit summaries of their technologies for joint evaluation. Selected innovations will enter a 6- to 12-month co-development program, culminating in pilot demonstrations and royalty-based commercialization partnerships. The initiative also seeks to build global linkages, connecting Indian researchers with international innovators looking to localize R&D and manufacturing in India.
With current incubation support from the Regional Center for Biotechnology BioNEST Bio-Incubator (Faridabad) and the NASSCOM Center of Excellence for IoT & AI (Gurugram), and collaborations spanning top research institutes in the world. Bharat Ecolabs is building an ecosystem that unites research excellence, engineering design, and sustainable entrepreneurship.
